Mentorship fundraiser set for October 16 at SECOND on Sixth Avenue
NEW YORK – October 9, 2018 – Mentorship organization Step Up will gather some of New York’s sharpest business minds at the nonprofit’s seventh annual Power Hour on Tuesday, October 16, at 6:00 p.m. at SECOND on Sixth Avenue. The event celebrates the impact of mentorship, bringing together influential names for the evening, while raising funds for Step Up’s after-school and weekend mentorship programs for teen girls living or going to school in under-resourced communities.
The event will fête Mentorship Champion Barri Rafferty, CEO and president of Ketchum, and Chanel, who participates in Step Up’s after-school programs at The Young Women’s Leadership School of the Bronx as a member of the Class of 2019.
Rob Flaherty, chairman of Ketchum, will present the Mentorship Champion distinction to Rafferty.
“Power Hour connects inspiring thought leaders committed to impacting the next generation through mentorship,” Step Up CEO Jenni Luke said. “We look forward to bringing boldfaced names together during Step Up’s 20th year of service and recognizing Barri and Chanel for all they do to inspire mentorship in their communities.”
The event has the support of platinum sponsor Ketchum and gold sponsors Group M, Media Monks, and Southwest Airlines. Grey Group’s Marnie Kain chairs the Step Up New York chapter board of directors.
Sponsorships begin at $5,000 and are available at suwn.org/ph or by emailing Jessica Champness at [email protected].
